To Opt Out a recruit from receiving email and/or text communication, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Discontinue Process #
If the recruit has an existing opportunity, the best way to go about removing them from the system is to start here.
- Open the Opportunity card
- Select “Exit Pipeline / Long Term Nurture” from the vertical left navigation
- Complete the fields as follows:
- Approval Check: Yes
- Exit to (Exit Pipeline): Discontinue Process
- Click the Blue Update Button
- Drag the recruit to the Exit Pipeline Stage
This will remove them from the pipeline and drop them from all automations.
Step 2: DND to Opt Out #
For those who wish to be removed altogether, the best practice isn’t to delete them from the system. It’s to opt them out of all communication. To do this, locate the contact (either click on their name from the Opportunity you just moved to Exit Pipeline > Discontinue Process, or navigate to Contacts and search for the contact). Follow the steps below:
- Locate the Recruit in Contacts
- Open the Contact card
- Hover over the contact fields in the first column and scroll to the bottom of the page
- Under DND, select “DND All Channels”
This opts the recruit out of all future communication and ensures that if someone else refers them to the MC, they don’t inadvertently get added back into the system.
