Purchasing a Phone Number for SMS Text Messaging

Before you can send text messages from your Profit Share Site, you need to purchase a dedicated SMS phone number. This guide walks you through the steps, including identity verification and connecting the number to your onboarding system.

IMPORTANT: If there are errors when you attempt to purchase the number, try replenishing your “Wallet” balance.

Step 1: Log Into Your Dashboard #

1. Visit app.profitsharesites.com.
2. Log in using your credentials.
3. Once logged in, you’ll land on the dashboard.

Step 2: Navigate to Phone Number Settings #

1. In the left-hand menu, scroll down and click Settings.
2. On the Settings page, scroll again in the left-hand panel until you see Phone Numbers.
3. Click on Phone Numbers to open the number management screen.

Step 3: Add a New Phone Number #

1. Click the Add Number button in the upper-right corner.
2. Choose Add Phone Number from the dropdown.
3. Click the Filter button on the pop-up screen.
4. Filter by your preferred area code (e.g., 614).
5. Select Match to the first part of the number and click Apply.
6. Scroll through the results and choose a number that matches your Market Center’s city, if available.
7. Click Proceed to Buy.

Step 4: Verify Your Identity #

Before purchasing, you must verify your identity using a government-issued ID.

1. Click Begin Verifying.
2. Select your country and choose an ID type (e.g., Driver’s License).
3. Select Continue on Another Device to generate a QR code.
4. Scan the QR code with your phone camera.
5. Take a clear photo of your ID when prompted.
6. Complete the facial scan to confirm your identity.
7. Once verified, you’ll see a green checkmark and can proceed to purchase the number.

Step 5: Next Steps #

If you are visiting this page from a Market Center Sites onboarding form, once the number is successfully purchased:

1. Open your onboarding form.
2. Paste the new phone number into the designated field.
3. Click Submit.
