Setting up a dedicated email domain ensures your recruiting communications look professional, maintain brand consistency, and support deliverability. This guide walks you through how to configure email using a subdomain (like mailer.yourdomain.com) and route responses to the correct team members—all using GoDaddy and your Profit Share Site.
Step 1: Access Email Settings #
- Log into your Profit Share Sites dashboard.
- Scroll down and click Settings in the lower-left corner.
- In the expanded menu, select Email Services.
- Click the Create a Dedicated Domain button.
Step 2: Enter a Subdomain #
- Enter a subdomain like
mailer.joinkwdenton.com(not your main domain).- You must use a subdomain (e.g.,
mailer,email, etc.).

- Once it passes validation, click Add and Verify.
If prompted, choose to authorize the domain through GoDaddy. This may succeed or fail depending on permissions and setup. If it fails, follow the manual method below.
Step 3: Add DNS Records Manually in GoDaddy #
1. Log into GoDaddy #
- Navigate to the domain you’re connecting.
- Click DNS, then Add New Record.
2. Add the Required Records #
You’ll be provided with several values to input manually:
TXT Records #
- Add each TXT record from Profit Share Sites.
- Set TTL to Custom > 600 seconds.
- Click Save.
CNAME Record #
- Example:
- Host:

mailgun.org(or as provided)

- Set TTL to 600 seconds and Save.
MX Records #
- Add two MX records:
- Host:
mailer - Value 1:

🛠️ The final record is optional and can be skipped if you’re unsure.
Step 4: Verify the Domain #
- Return to the Email Services page in Profit Share Sites.
- Click Verify Domain.
- It may take several minutes for DNS propagation.
- Refresh or return later if it doesn’t verify immediately.
Once verification completes, you’ll see green checkmarks and the SSL certificate will be issued.
Step 5: Set Email Headers #
- Click the three-dot menu beside your verified domain.
- Choose Set Headers from the pop-up menu.
- Enter your sender name (e.g., Keller Williams Realty) and sender email (e.g.,
join@mailer.yourdomain.com). - Click Save. Your dedicated headers will appear on screen.
These headers determine what recipients see in the “From” field when automated emails go out.
Step 6: Configure Reply Forwarding #
- Return to SMTP Service Settings.
- Click Reply Forward Settings.
- Turn on Forward to Assigned User.
- Click Save.
This ensures replies to automated emails get routed directly to the person assigned to that specific recruit or contact.
